Following 2016\u2019s much-publicised acquisition by global access automation leader FAAC S.p.A<\/a>, Centurion Systems has added substantively to its industrial and commercial product ranges, adding, inter alia, door automation, bollards and traffic barriers to its stable of heavy-duty solutions.<\/p>\n

According to CENTURION spokesperson Charl Mijnhardt<\/strong>, the extended range runs the gamut of commercial access control, and emphasises features such as high duty cycles<\/strong>, battery backup<\/strong> and robust construction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese operators are designed to work in challenging conditions,\u201d explains Mijnhardt. \u201cThey are at home securing the entrances and exits at business parks, shopping centres and mines. I mean, the FAAC 884<\/a> [industrial sliding gate operator] is capable of automating gates weighing up to 3.5 tonnes! Just looking at this operator\u2026the sheer authority that it commands\u2026it\u2019s clear from the outset that it means business\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last year, CENTURION appointed Emmanuel Sequeira<\/strong> to head up the growth and development of the door automation range.<\/p>\n

Sequeira says that the growing expansion of urban development has led to an increase in demand for high-quality<\/strong>, reliable<\/strong> and feature-rich automation and access control solutions<\/strong>, including sliding door automation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile sliding door operators undoubtedly fall under the umbrella of access automation,\u201d says Sequeira, \u201cthey have traditionally reflected an entirely different market segment than the one associated with, for example, gate and garage door automation\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe FAAC range [of door automation solutions] is the culmination of decades of being a thought-leader in this space, and showcases the company\u2019s flair for innovative engineering. The products manage to seamlessly blend superior aesthetics with futuristic intelligence\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the coming months, CENTURION will be embarking on a number of aggressive marketing campaigns aimed at introducing the market to its new solutions.<\/p>\n
