They\u2019re <b>inexpensive<\/b>, <b>easy to install<\/b> and could potentially save you or a loved one from serious injury. As long as the receiver can \u201csee\u201d the beam, it knows that the gate\u2019s area of travel is clear and it can give the all-clear to the gate motor that it is safe to move. But when the beam is broken \u2013 for example by someone standing in the path of the gate \u2013 there\u2019s a break in the circuit and the gate won\u2019t move. The beam acts as sort of a crossing guard, telling the gate when it is safe to move, and when it needs to remain stationary.<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><b><br \/>\nCheck your gate\u2019s collision sensitivity and adjust it if necessary<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 150%;\">If chick flicks have taught us anything, it\u2019s that <b>being sensitive is a good thing<\/b>, and nowhere is this truer than in the case of gate automation.
