{"id":9323,"date":"2013-03-01T15:57:00","date_gmt":"2013-03-01T13:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centsys.co.za\/d5-evo-the-apex-predator-of-gate-motors-2\/"},"modified":"2013-03-01T15:57:00","modified_gmt":"2013-03-01T13:57:00","slug":"d5-evo-the-apex-predator-of-gate-motors-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centsys.com\/fr\/d5-evo-the-apex-predator-of-gate-motors-2\/","title":{"rendered":"D5-Evo: The Apex Predator of Gate Motors"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">It is not often that the worlds of natural science and <strong>access automation<\/strong> meet, but I do think that I have, quite by accident, found a parallel.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">It was while channel surfing recently, perhaps sub-consciously scouring for material for our next blog post, that I happened upon a show about <strong>apex predators<\/strong>, and it got me thinking about our tried, tested and perfected sliding gate motor, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centsys.co.za\/?q=cproduct,7,D5Evo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D5-Evo<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Here is something that has been designed to be the absolute best in its class: purpose-built, tenacious and <strong>completely unstoppable<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>So what exactly is an apex predator?<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Apex predators have been defined as predators with <strong>no natural predators of their own<\/strong>, thus residing at the <strong>very top of its food chain<\/strong>. To me, that sums up the <strong>D5-Evo<\/strong>perfectly. This superior sliding gate motor exists in a world of many competing operators, each vying for a place at the top of the access automation food chain, each snapping at the ankles of the powerful <strong>D5-Evo<\/strong> \u2013 the apex predator \u2013 but never really finding purchase. The <strong>D5-Evo<\/strong> remains the dominant operator.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">It\u2019s a bold claim, I know. Enable the<strong> Break-in Alarm<\/strong>, and you\u2019ll be notified the moment that someone loiters in front of your gate thanks to the controller\u2019s onboard alarm being triggered. Similarly, the <strong>Ambush Alarm<\/strong> will notify you should the beams remain interrupted for a pre-defined period of time, so criminals won\u2019t get away with sticking insulation tape over the beam lenses. In much the same fashion, we have designed the<strong> D5-Evo<\/strong>to be fully configurable to suit any site conditions. Those of you with a working knowledge of ancient Greek will know that the word \u201c<strong>chronos<\/strong>\u201d means of or related to time, and it makes a fitting prefix to our built-in, ultra-advanced timer technology known as <strong>ChronoGuard<\/strong>. ChronoGuard allows you to set automatic activations for certain times of the day, month or year and even includes a time-barring feature whereby certain inputs can be barred from working after hours, during public holidays, etc. This is absolutely groundbreaking functionality as far as the marriage of access automation and perimeter security goes.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">What can we say?
