{"id":9354,"date":"2012-01-26T09:28:00","date_gmt":"2012-01-26T07:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centsys.co.za\/synchronising-two-d5-evo-sliding-gate-motors-2\/"},"modified":"2012-01-26T09:28:00","modified_gmt":"2012-01-26T07:28:00","slug":"synchronising-two-d5-evo-sliding-gate-motors-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centsys.com\/fr\/synchronising-two-d5-evo-sliding-gate-motors-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Synchronising Two D5-Evo Sliding Gate Motors"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><em>Many <strong>industrial installations<\/strong> call for two sliding <strong>gate motors<\/strong> to be synchronised, meaning that they will <strong>operate \u2013 move and stop \u2013 simultaneously<\/strong>.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>This type of setup is ideal for entrances to premises with extremely <strong>wide driveways<\/strong> such as airplane hangars and factories; it is, however, crucial that the two gates operate exactly in tandem as one of them falling out of sequence could potentially affect the other one and result in the entry being rendered inoperative.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">In the past, your best bet was to make use of a <strong>synchronisation card<\/strong> of sorts to connect the two gate motors.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Typically, their trigger and ground signals would be linked so that when one gate motor is activated, the second unit would also respond.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>But with the advent of our D-Series range of controllers, synchronisation has become much, much <strong>simpler<\/strong> and there is no longer even a need to purchase additional equipment to achieve <strong>seamless synchronisation<\/strong>.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">The diagram below shows how you can link two <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centsys.co.za\/?q=cproduct,7,D5Evo\">D-Series<\/a> gate motors by simply connecting two inputs and changing a few settings on the controllers.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/--3cShq-_0_U\/TyD_P9s4BKI\/AAAAAAAAAB4\/ptgm8hRM9b4\/s400\/synch+diagram.png\" width=\"282\" height=\"400\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">What this essentially means is that, when D5-Evo 2 is triggered, an output will be generated on <strong>XIO<\/strong> which will in turn activate<strong> FRX<\/strong> on D5-Evo 1 and, because their commons are also linked, there will be a valid ground.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">NOTE:<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The <strong>Gate Status settings need only be changed on and remotes only learned into D5-Evo 2,<\/strong> but the <strong>Autoclose settings need to be changed on both of the motors<\/strong> in order for them to close at exactly the same time.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Remember that <strong>FRX will only initiate an opening cycle<\/strong>, and never a closing cycle.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">The remote function can be set as either <strong>Trigger Gate or Open Only<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">The Auxiliary Input \/ Output can also be used for <strong>interlocking<\/strong>, which will be the focus of a future blog post. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many industrial installations call for two sliding gate motors to be synchronised, meaning that they will operate \u2013 move and stop \u2013 simultaneously.\u00a0 This type of setup is ideal for entrances to premises with extremely wide driveways such as airplane hangars and factories; it is, however, crucial that the two gates operate exactly in tandem [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","_joinchat":[],"footnotes":""},"categories":[35,65,213,228,229],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-9354","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-centurion-gate-motor","category-d5evo","category-sliding-gate-motor","category-synchronisation-card","category-synchronising-gate-motors"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
